Trying To Put On MS Office 2013 And Got Problems Doing So...

Hello and Sawasdee khrap,

I'd just installed the 2013 MS Office version on my PC last night. Works unbelievable lovely and has got so many nice and useful features.Okay my PC has a much better CPU, but I run Windows 7, the 32 bit version on both computers.

Tried to install the same program on my DELL 1440 INSPIRON with W 7 Ultimate (SP1) on, 32 bit version, only 2 GB of memory today and encountered following error message:

Set up is unable to proceed due to the following errors. To install and use this product, you must be running Windows 7 Windows Server 2008 R 2, or a newer operating system.

Correct the issues listed above and run set-up again.

I know that there're so many knowledgeable guys at TVF, would deeply appreciate any input how to solve this issue, or better said if it';s even possible to put this program MS 2013 on my notebook, or not.

Millions of thanks in advance.thumbsup.gif

Cheers-

The DELL 1440 INSPIRON came with Windows Vista installed. So the question is how the Windows 7 Ultimate was installed. Was a clean install done? Is it a legal version of Windows 7 Ultimate?

I'm traveling and have only an 8.1 laptop. But from memory, go: Control Panel\System and Security\System.

See if it says that your copy is activated and is genuine.

I didn't like Office 2013 and rolled back to 2010 but I can't remember what the problem was.

Of course it's not a legit copy nor is MS Office. As it's W7 Ultimate, I sincerly doubt he bought it legally to replace Vista.

I'd bought the DELL, a real good and reliable notebook about five years ago and the Thais at this shop in Sisaket had put XP, service pack two on.

When the hard rive died the first time, another computer shop put Windows 7 on it. Then after only five months, the hard drive died again, I guess it was due overheating issues (blocked fan by dust)

Then I put a Windows 7 on that shows that it;'s genuine, but i din't pay 5,000 =baht for it. Got the MS 2013 from a friend and he said it was genuine.

The MC version 2013 woks well on my PC, as I had just installed it last night. What could the reason be, that I can't install it on my notebook.

Please no cheap Charley" bashing here. A big and two small wives aren't cheap.Went to a monk already, sins are forgotten.-thumbsup.gif

So basically what you're asking is: How to install an illicit copy of Office 2013 on an illicit copy of Windows 7 Ultimate.

If I recall, it's against Thai Visa rules to discuss on public forums how to go about doing it.

Better take the notebook to a Thai computer shop. They deal with illicit copies.

Good Luck!

This does indeed appear to be the case.

If our OP can demonstrate that he has legit copies of W7 and O13 I'll re-open.
