Pretty much country wide, the best season is around the end of November/beginning of December when the rains stop till around the end of March when it starts to get really hot. January and February are fantastic. Though can be a bit cool at higher elevations.

High season runs from November through April. You'll have to pay high season prices in hotels, often extra surcharge on top of that around Xmas/New Year. November is often still quite rainy. Half December till at least the end of February tourist destinations can be overrun, like difficult to find accommodation. If you can stand the heat, I would opt for March.

Low season is also rainy season, you pay low season prices but the weather is hit and miss.

Now is deep low season.

Quite hot but not much rain yet.

Prices low, accomodation easy to find, everything going easy.

I would like June (if I were a tourist tongue.png ).

I live in upcountry Thailand and avoid trips from Dec to March.

Too crowded and expensive.

Weatherwise you would have to be specific (where to go).

Phuket e.g. is quite wet from May to Oct while Samui is wet during Oct to Jan (anti-cyclical).

(to name two examples)

Some years ago I spent two years working in Khartoum (ugh!!), was asked often the same Q. My reply was usually: About any time between April to March, but I prefer August myself.

During my 26 months there I came back to Bangkok seven (7) times on R&R, five of the trip self funded, and well worth it!

Hi,

Generally the most recommended season to visit to Thailand is during November to February as it is the least hot period , yet the sun still shines beautifully.

Thanks
