Unknown Gps coordinates storage

Featured Replies

I have installed a few months ago on my Android phone the free version of Navigator GPS.

During the few months, I stored interesting GPS points in My Favorites.

I would like to import these POI into my car GPS, but can not find any software that would be able to convert the file.

It look something like this (in XML format):

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><favourites version="1">
<item name="home" lat="" lon=" "/>
</favourites>
Does anybody know what format this is and how to convert the file a format which can be read by car GPS (IGo8).
TIA

Can you tell me where that GPS coordinate is approx pointing to ?

If I guess it's pointing to here

http://goo.gl/maps/XzWyc

Which is somewhere in Russia, which I don't think is correct smile.png

Ps: You can use another Coordinate (and not your Home), but please post the Google Maps Coordinate and the original XML one please

No, the POI is not in Russia but in Nakhon Ratchasima.
Here another point from the same file:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><favourites version="1">
<item name="cup of love" lat="51724716" lon="366741780"/>
</favourites>
The exact Google location is:
A cup pf love
Khao Yai National Park
Nakhon Ratchasima, Pak Chong 30130, Thailand
14.356366, 101.828640

GPSBabel is a great way to convert various formats AND it converts Mapfactor Navigator format, which stores coordinates in, "milliarcsecond".

When you open GPSBabel:

Input

-choose File or Device and select Format: Mapfactor Navigator

Output

-You can choose various formats and would depend on the one used by your car GPS.

Cheers

GPSBabel seems able to covert the file.

But then I need to strip first all the XML information (Header and Footer) and input the POI one by one.

I am sorry I do not understand. What format did you convert it to? What type of GPS system is in your car?

Perhaps this is where someone familiar with your particular vehicle GPS could add specific help.

And, no problem, glad to help.

He wants to convert from - Android phone the free version of Navigator GPS to car GPS (IGo8).
