Easy way to find cheapest ticket

I'll have to travel to my homecountry at the end of August.

Is there a search engine or whatever that makes it easy to find the most economic priced ticket available ?

Any advice welcome.

You key in your destination and expected departure date, after which you'll see all available flights, ticket prices, possible layovers, and total travel times - all nicely displayed on a single page and with colored bars for easy comparison.

If you're interested in one of the offers, you simply click on it and will be re-directed to the respective online agent's website where you can book the ticket.

It's also possible to filter search results by price (e.g. cheapest tickets on top), total travel time (e.g. shortest ones on top), layover times, and several other parameters.

I have scored quite a few very favorably priced tickets and can only recommend hipmunk.

There are a load of them that do a similar search, Search for the cheapest flight on these websites when you find the cheapest ticket, go to that airline website and see if there offering it any cheaper.

These two search engines are pretty good, I had to go to the UK at short notice earlier in the year so I looked at all the major carriers searching for offers and picked up a return with Emirates for 30K a few days before departure.
