Khao Sok Luxury Accomodation, any available ?

Hello,

I am looking for the best place to stay at Khao Sok and I didn't find anything better but a tent for 2500 thb.

Do you know any better accomodation ? Even another tent but more luxurious ?

And what about these bungalows on the water, any very nice one ?

There are two areas in Khao Sok with a lot of accommodation.

1) Close to the park main entrance/headquarters, 45 km east of Takua Pa. Lots of bungalow resorts and guesthouses there, some of them pretty upmarket like the Cliff&river jungle resort, there are many others though. Don't know what website the OP looked at, there really is an overabundance of accommodation possibilities, no way you have to stay in a tent. If you go there with your own car, I wouldn't make a booking but just look around when you are there.

2) Floating bungalows on the lake. Prices of these places will include all meals, because you cannot go anywhere. Mosquitoes can be a problem, and especially in the cheaper, older places sometimes also rats. I would rather stay in the area mentioned above, and make a day trip to the lake which is easy to book.

Elephant Hills about 10 km from Kho sok village , its the tent place but it was luxurious a few years ago! certainly the best accommodation in that area.(and I managed another resort)
