One way ticket should be ok coming with non immigrant O-A?

Featured Replies

whistling.gif Yes.

Almost certainly an O-A visa will mean no problems. It's like the "Rolls Royce" of visas.

The rule of thumb is that anyone with a valid visa of any type (including a tourist visa) will not be questioned about an "onward ticket" by the airlines.

Usually they only question those who have no visa.

That's also why we advise people that since almost all "onward tickets" are more expensive than paying for a visa ..... that a visa is the cheapest form of "onward ticket" to buy.

Anyway this Visa O-A having also a hook, this Visa having only a single entry once you leave the country the Visa in gone with the wind.

As far I far as I know all OA visa are issued as multiple entry visas now. Even with a single entry you could get a re-entry permit to keep the one year entry valid when you leave. With the multiple entry you can get a re-entry permit to keep your last one year entry valid after your visa expires.

Hi all, my 0-A Visa expires in October, what is the best way to get another One.....I have the required Funds!!!

Slainte....

If your OA visa is a multiple entry visa which I am sure it is. You can leave the country just before it expires and get another one year entry. Then if you want to travel after the visa expires you will need a re-entry permit to keep the last entry valid.

If you have already done the extra year then you can apply for an extension of stay at immigration during the last 30 days of your last entry.

Is there any other kind than multiple entry when it's O-A ?

There might be some odd Thai embassy or official consulate that sill does single entry OA visas somewhere.

Hi Joe, is there any link to Thai Visa regulation about Visa O-A, caused I can only buy this Visa on 2 places in germany Berlin and Frankfurt and explicit only single entry.

ok I has checked the rules for O-A Visa in germany again they must have change this during last week.

Nothing written about single or mutiple entry, only that you have to apply for a re-entry before you leave Thailand in the immigration.

Here is a link in English from the Thai Embassy in Stockholm about the O-A visa. They only have multiple entry here.

Thanks for all informations to O-A,

I read all the info's already, but there appears now 1 Question again.

To apply for this Visa I have also to provide a Health Certificate.

Question: must in this Health Certificate explicit issued that I don't have any of the following diseases:

1.5 Not having prohibitive diseases ( Leprosy, Tuberculosis, drug addiction, Elephantiasis, third phase of Syphilis) as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No. 14 B.E. 2535.

We having in germany a very old joke how to prove about the third phase of Syphilis

Step naked on a stool jump down and if your dick or your balls falling off or both,

then Houston there is will be a problem. 1zgarz5.gif cheesy.gif

Anyway then you have still to think positiv, caused you save the Visa fees + more. clap2.gif
