DHL import duty again!

This is my third shipment from dhl where the tax was more then fair. They get lots of bad comments so here is a positive one.

Dhl service fee i aasume

Actual tax to thailand as you can see they did charge vat on the freight. I guess if it was fob then that tax wouldnt apply.

VAT is from the landed costs.

So VAT from product price+shipping costs+import duty.

No way around it (without cheating).

Perhaps DHL have cleaned up their act a bit? It's good to see your positive experience. Let me add mine to that. Two months ago, I had two items shipped from Amazon in the States. DHL's "customs estimate" was $28 for one and $16 for the other. Last week I got an email from them, saying they were refunding me $25 and $14. The credit showed up on the card the next day. It was a thoroughly pleasant surprise.

I've had these refunds from Amazon in the past as well, maybe two or three years ago.

I believe it's something to do with DHL using a proper customs handling agent.
