How about Nat King Cole doing, "The Party's Over."

And closer to my era, Level 42's "It's Over."

I would post youtube clips but I am on a (slower than) dialup right now.

what about roy orbison's "crying"

or queens "magic"

and one for the germans "oh what a night" [clock]

this has got to rank up there with the best,i can only remember one similar that was m.u.beating b.m.European cup final.

Samba football replaced with Stravinsky football.

you mean the Germans played Russian football? ohmy.png

I was referring more to Stravinsky's penchant for abandoning normal rhythm, but you carry on if you didn't have a decent musical education.

Have to feel for them, although I'm happy about the result.

Still, I feel for them.

Such prostration in these crying Brazilian fans ! all their hopes are in their country's victory !; so sorry for them ! I have seen all the pictures.

I don't imagine such tears in my country ( France ), we like football, but it's not a religion , not a national disaster ( may be in Italy or Spain ? )

where are the beautiful, smiling and sexy brazilian hotties ?

I guess as further north we get, as more pragmatic and down to earth we become.

The hotties?

As the team is, the hotties are also over rated.

Sure there are plenty gorgeous (as every country has) within the 200 million people (probably wrong about the population).

Just noticed that almost all stock markets across Asia and Europe are trending downward today... with one notable exception... Germany's market is up. Football feel good influence I'm sure. 555

I've just watched a report on BBC that said during this world cup, the state of a country's stock market has nearly always reflected the result from the football.

E.g- Germany was up today, as Brazil was down.

The Spanish market suffered following the defeat to Holland and so on.

To be fair (as I always am smile.png ) you are both correct.

I'm afraid you are all poorly educated slubberdegullions.

Ultimately, it was the music's rhythmic structure that was most shocking. Expanding on procedures first explored in Petrushka, Stravinsky artfully contrives to keep the listener rhythmically off-balance by frequent meter changes and unpredictable accents.
