What do you tell the people back in the EU

It's hard going through life worrying about what others are saying and thinking.

Imagine what they are saying/thinking when you bring back a wife 30 years your junior LOL. As long as they are keeping it to themselves, who gives a frak.biggrin.png

From what I have observed over the years, its the old farts who delude themselves that their teerak aint giving it away for free to some Thai stud.

Try bringing a Thai wife 30 years your junior back to farangland.

The Thai wife soon realises not every farang looks like you and realises she sold herself short, many fail to take into account, they were nothing more than a stepping stone to a better life.

Once they suss it out, they come here and are all bitter and twisted about Thai woman.

Look in the mirror first.

(Where did I mention I was an "old fart"... are you an old fart?)

Yeah, I suppose many guys (old farts) are deluded... but if you're trying to take a stab at me..... I've taken mine back to 2 different "Faranglands" and she knows exactly what she can get and I know exactly what she can get... and she's already done very well thank you very much.biggrin.png .She most certainly hasn't been hiding under a bush.

Thanks for the warning though. In my case it's a "honeyko" and not a "teerak".biggrin.png

Obviously you have to choose your teerak (or honeyko) very carefully, but isn't that necessary no matter what race or nationality you marry? Farangland marriages aren't a very good yardstick if you consider the divorce rate in most Faranglands.

I'd say you're the one who seems "bitter and twisted about Thai woman". I know full well we could live full time in Farangland and she'd stick by me until death do us part. We've been together for over a decade already, and our relationship gets better every year.

But she also isn't Thai, isn't it ?

No she isn't, but the same rules apply on both sides of the China Sea and anywhere else. Choosing a wife is a bit more complicated than choosing a new car.smile.png Any time anyone mentions a large age gap we can expect the same regurgitated responses along with the usual insults. Most forum members are probably afraid to mention it.

Probably jealousy as I get pissed as a fart and pick up a bird for what it costs a norwegian to have one pint in his local.

I think I'm beginning to understand why the polite folks back home flinch a little when they hear your holiday stories...

Gotta wonder how they react to your home movies.

I sometimes read forums in my home country debating whether it is right or wrong to go to pattaya, sleeping with younger girls, whether it should be made illegal and so on. 99% of those participating in those debates, and it is quite a few, have no relation to Thailand whatsoever. I often wonder if they are aware that none of those men they are debating about care about what they think, or what the law in my home country says about anything. Most probably do not even read the forum.

However, I guess some people, like the OP, actually do care, so those debates are apparently not a complete waste of time :-)

It is illegal in Pattaya.

I don't care what other people thinks about me, I have Pattaya as home town on my Facebook profile.

If you are embarrassed what others think about Pattaya then you should man up and tell them to mind their own buisness.

100% agree on Pattaya.

But if someone starts telling me holiday stories about getting drunk and (illegal, international) whoring, I need to have the juevos to tell him I really don't want to hear about it.

The jump back is more likely caused by the media caused image that all of Thailand is in revolt, with bullets and bombs flying in every direction.

The jump back was there BEFORE the bullets and bombs and coup.

The jump back is not about the beer - unless you refer to Belgium, where beer is good & cheap.

So that leaves us with?
