I'm coming up for my second application of extension of stay based on marriage. I was married to my wife, Thai National, in the UK and have a UK marriage certificate. Last year when I first applied I had to have my marriage affirmed by the UK Embassy, translated and then certified at the M.F.A. then presented the certified translation to the local Amphur, who retained the original certified translation and provided me with a KR22.

My question is do I need to obtain another, new marriage certificate affirmed by the UK Embassy, translated and then certified at the M.F.A., or can I use a copy of the one from last year to obtain a new KR22 for my Extension application this year.

I look forward to your reply.

Since you have registered your marriage already in order to get a updated copy all you have to do is ask for it at the Amphoe and they will print it out and stamp it for a 20 baht fee.
