Hello,

I am flying to Thailand especially to buy a specific car I was looking for and now is available.

I fly directly to the seller's location and therefore don't have a rental contract/utility bills yet which are needed for obtaining "approval of residence" from the Immigration.

This means that I can't change the ownership of the car once I pay for it.

The seller will ofcours give me all the documents I ask so my question is, can I pay for the car and take all the documents from the seller and change ownership 2 months later (after I have rented a house and had the first bill) without the presence of the seller?

If the answer is yes then what documents exactly do I need to take from the seller to make this happen?

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!

Well we did we a motorbike so car the same I guess.

When you get the two papers needed from the seller all signed and filled out and the last page of the blue book for the car has been signed out by the seller.

Rent a place and with the rental agreement go register the motors address at your nearest DLT.
