HI again, I am having issues connecting to a connection in a hotel I frequent often, it has worked once before though.

Laptop,

Win 8 (classic shell)

Hotel has a strong signal on each floor with a different number wifi connection.

I have tried many floors, it works on the ground floor with their system no probs.

I many times get a "Limited" connection after entering the PW, but no data flows.

I have tried 2 machines with no luck for the last few visits.

Smartphones can connect on the floors and data flow with the same PW.

In Control Panel > Firewall Everything is now off and still no luck.

Does anyone have any other ideas of where to look to fix this, it is driving me nuts.

It could easily be your virus protection assuming that you have 1. try disabling then try to connect again,Good luck.

Check to see if you assigned a static IP address to the wifi interface.

You're not getting an IP from the wifi service.

you can also check by opening a cmd window and type ipconfig /all to see your ip address.
