Just read this ...

Gotta admit, I love these "click baiter" posts.

Googled it, but nothing of substance.

Not Thailand related, though Thai Visa related.

What is a "click baiter" or "click baiting".

I'm always happy to acknowledge when I don't know something.

click bait -

a link on a website that is designed to catch people's attention and encourage themto read on

(Internet marketing, pejorative) Website content that is aimed at generating advertising revenue, especially at the expense of quality or accuracy, relying on sensationalistheadlines to attract click-throughs; such headlines.

I think this bit is now becoming the most important.
"especially at the expense of quality or accuracy, relying on sensationalistheadlines to attract click-throughs; such headlines."

it is an interesting example of how English language works.....a word or phrase takes on a life of its own through popular use and the meaning actually changes with use.

Might be topic that attracts clicks with wrong topics.

"Putin declared war against Ukraine" as topic

Inside you post "Buy Vi*gra for just 10 USD save here".

Click baiter, is a vital component for the construction of TGAU.

MrToad and Mr Neverdie have the blueprints and they can give you more scientific explanations.

I'm only the Financial director of the TGAU corporation so I can't help you much.........Sorry.

I think some would be a 'Master' on that.

Have ran out of likes (thanks JT), thanks for all the replies ... I have a fair idea now.

It's a post that encourages people to click on it and perhaps reply. All these clicks and replies are good for the Googlopolis...

Is that the Greek Google Mr Sustento?

Click baiters are topics designed to catch the eye so that people click on them. This is done to boost up the visits of the target website which is useful for many things if you are in online marketing.

Even I, did, understand it now David.

So from now on I will open threads with the titles.

My g/f cheated me.

I don't want to pay sin-sod.

How can I get rid of my g/f's boyfriend?

Should I build a 2 bedroom or 6 bedroom house for my g/f?

What do you think......will they be good click baiters?

I thought the posters or trolls who create threads on forums themed on a load of nonsense just to encourage replies, are mass debaters?

Totally agree with you, Mr Beetlejuice.

In Greece we call the mass debaters, "Malakes"

But you, as an upright, English gentleman would never, lower yourself and look at this filth.
