August 7, 201411 yr Greetings everyone, i am planning to start a business here in india specialising in accessories for cruisers and super bikes. i am looking for vendors or wholesalers who deal with products such as vance & hines, kuryakyn, cobra, harley parts, akropovik, etc etc. if anyone is interested, kindly mail at thanks and regards.
August 7, 201411 yr I say troll. If you are actually serious, you should know to contact an American distributor.
August 7, 201411 yr Author it is really imature to disregard that this might actually have been a genuine request. i stay in india, shipping would definately be cheaper for me, and so would travel if needed, that is why I am looking for dealers in Thailand.
August 7, 201411 yr Are you looking for dealers from whom to buy or to whom to sell? The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place
August 7, 201411 yr Call it what you will. It was your first post and you ask people to email you. Seems like a troll fishing for emails to spam. I am just looking out for my favorite forum members. I actually did address your concern too. This is Thailand, everything is imported with a ridiculous tax and those brands are mostly American. Might be 30% import tax and then import VAT is 7%. http://www.dutycalculator.com/dc/147102122/car-parts-diy-tools/motorcycle-parts-accessories/other-parts/import-duty-rate-for-importing-motorcycle-spare-part-from-united-states-to-thailand-is-30/ So you plan to buy parts made in America, shipped here, taxed here, buy them, and then ship them to India? Seems costly to pay Thai taxes and shipping unless India taxes ridiculous rates for items from America. If India doesn't tax American goods much you'd save money just buying from the US. Best of luck in your venture.
August 8, 201411 yr Some guys from Cambodia/Vietnam come here frequently to buy and hand carry accessories back.
August 8, 201411 yr Author @Ttakata,I understand your concern and know u r looking out for ur other members. @maestro I am looking to buy from there and then sell to India. @vocalneeds carrying it back in person would be possible if they small in quantity and light as well. Bulk products or heavy ones won't be possible.
August 8, 201411 yr Thailand doesn't have wholesale distributors of parts for superbike or cruisers. They have retail parts for bikes made here and Super expensive parts for imports. So like others have said you need to fly to the states and load a container out. A packed container for opening inventory could easily be over 100k us. If i was investing that i would have a better plan of action.
August 8, 201411 yr thinking about it if i was in india i would be calling Pakistan and getting a line of riding garments produced
August 10, 201411 yr I have removed the email address from the first post in this topic. Anybody wishing to contact the member gillessingh privately should send him a personal message (PM) via this forum. The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place
