Yingluck will return from her holiday today, as planned, Surapong says

I hope she does return and faces the courts. I do not think she is guilty of corruption on the rice scheme more so incompetence and being shackled with her brothers scumbag minders and enforcers. The same crap as Abhisit had to deal while he was PM and shackled by the corruption of those around him and the Dems bed mates. Would be interesting to see how these people would preform in a lawful environment which Khun Prayuth is bringing to bear. Not saying she has the economic understanding of Abhisit but she does have charisma to present as a leader with honest politicians around her. Call for her is whether her son having a future in Thailand is more important to her than her scumbag brother. If she turns up at Swampy then good for her.

How refreshing to read a post that doesn't see the world in black and white. Thanks for the thoughts and input !

It is refreshing to see an open minded post. I have mixed feelings about her return and hope it doesn't lead to more turmoil. Hopefully her case will be handled appropriately without fanning the flames of unrest and division again.

If she does return it can be certain that she has a plan. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

In other words, she'll be back for now to pack some more suitcases, before she will vanish in the air forever. She has time.

And you know this as a fact?  Did she tell you this?   Or are you just making up lies here.

I remember when Thai Visa had a rule against rumour mongering. Remember those old days?

Well the Morning is over is she back?

I was at Church this morning to Pray for Peace and Goodwill is the World.

Did You Pray today?

I pray every day that at sometime soon I will not have to report every 90 days, as long as I have a year visa and an address + a Thai bank book+ I have adequate income to support myself...................others that come back and forward I do not have an answer as most are working abroad with good leave time to visit.

Her home coming will not make my dream come true.

BREAKING NEWS - BREAKING NEWS - BREAKING NEWS

When asked why she would return to Thailand now Ms. Yingluck told us that apart from having promised to do so she also felt sorry for the numerous TVF posters who's life seemed less meaningful without having her (in Thailand).

When is the last flight from Hong-Kong, with a 1st class compartment, landing at Swampy today? Or is she maybe to cross the Cambodian-Thai border on board of her favourite VW Caravelle? Getting quite funny actually, but having so many 'prominent' Shin servants, and even uncle Surapong, tell she'll be back, I'd (naïvely?) think those guys don't need to be found lying to the public one more time just because of this non-event, so she'll be back, to serve Thaksin's latest dark strategies against, the NCPO, ...and the future of this country.

Former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra would return to Thailand early this morning, as planned, her ex-deputy PM Surapong Tovichakchaikul has said

so, she is already back in Thailand, or her clan have been caught lying, again.

 Egg, prepare to meet face.

Dear Gen Prayuth,

I am sorry to say I missed the plane, there are so many shops a Paris Airport I kind of got taken away and ended up missing my flight.

The good people at TA have said they will book me on the next available flight but as they are so busy at this time they do not think that will be any time soon.

Yours Truly

You Know Who.

I find it so disappointing and revealing how people slam-dunk others as "guilty" before the justice system we all rely on has PROVEN them to be so or not!

"He said she did not need to seek political asylum even though she had been charged by the National Anti-Corruption Commission over her alleged failure to stop huge financial losses and corruption in the rice-pledging scheme. The case had not been filed in court and even if it reached court, it would take a long time before the court made a ruling."

The charges she is facing are not grounds for asylum. Self imposed exile to flee the consequences of being found guilty yes.

Still I'm sure she has a good tutor to learn from should that become necessary.

Of course it is ground for asylum if the country want to give asylum.....We saw often enough how stories can be twisted to fit the propaganda.

But currently the west is busy with Ukraine and Russia, so they don't want that another country develops love for Russia and hate for European apples.....

Disappointing must at least have felt euphemistic to the thousands of innocents who lost their life to the police death squads in the so-called 'war on drugs', but it is indeed revealing that NO PROOF of guilt, nor any justice system, was considered by PM TS when he planned it or gave it the go, you can rely on that... Two wrongs ..., I know, but please, let's keep things in prospective, she won't be shot dead, probably even escape(?) jail when found guilty, but don't say the evidence against her and her 'entourage' is not damning!

You, at the time, correctly, write about her not having been found guilty by the Courts, but do you imply she is NOT guilty, what would be prejudging in the opposite direction...? And can you insure us that, when and if she is ever to be found guilty by the Courts, the Shins, PTP, UDD, red activists, and yourself, will respect the Courts' verdict and accept the sentence imposed on her? May I be allowed to seriously doubt it? You can't have it both ways though...

If you google "yingluck return holiday Bangkok" you get about 30 links dedicated to pronouncing a PTP promise that she will return from holidays right up to her cousin Surapongs promise a few hours ago. That is one PTP promise for every day she has been on holidays (give or take)

I currently have twitter loaded up with yingluck, her FB page loaded up and the UDD FB page loaded up in anticipation for her return. No news yet.

I am currently searching for every poster on TVF that said "I knew yingluck will return" and "She is so brave and will return" and "She will face her accusers and be proven innocent" because in 9 hours if she doesn't return the new "evolved" excuses will be "I knew yingluck wouldn't return. The courts are biased" or ""She won't face her accusers because she will be proven guilty" or "She is so brave which is why she won't return" Thus is the life of a regime supporter.

Please return yingluck. I might, just might give you a capital "Y" in your name out of respect for you being the first PTP member that has kept their promise. Heay charlem!!

Speaking of chalerm, did anybody note whether he got permission to leave Thailand for the party?

Was he even invited?

Never have so many people been so enthusiastically awaiting the return of someone they don't really want to see return.

That's unfair. If only I knew the flight number and real ETA I would be tempted to take the SRT Airport Link to Swampy to be present at the historical moment. Together with the hundreds of thousands who will be there as well, or would be if only they would have bothered to make the trek to Bangkok again, or found sponsors or so.

In a BKK Post article "Yingluck returning on schedule"

Surapong has stated that: She is in a country not far from Thailand and is expected to arrive home in the early hours of Monday morning.

her court case is going to watched by millions...& if guilty with jail time could be the spark the army have been worried about.

IF she does arrive back this month it shows her brother in a very bad light

3 possibilities:  (1) The lady has guts and if that is the reason, hats off to her.  (2) she has no idea of the seriousness of her position. (3) She believes her lawyers if they have told her that she will either get off, or not serve time.   A cynical 4th option is she needs more time to move things around and scarper later.     The temptations & alternative advice would have been persuasive.  A number of others have already gone.  If she comes back (or is back) today I provisionally give her credit for her honour & courage.

Evading justice if found guilty of criminal charges isn't, in my mind, grounds for asylum. But yes you're right, facts can be twisted. Edited by Bluespunk
