Hi
So inhale been issued a non immigration o visa as I am married to a Thai woman

My last visa clearly stated working prohibited
But this most recent one has no such remarks. Can anyone shed some light as to why and does that mean I can work or just apply for a work permit

Thanks
Matt

Since you are married to a Thai you are allowed to get a work permit and work with a non-o visa.

The stamp on your old visa was wrong.

How do I go about getting a work permit doin need to have a job already with a company or can I get one and work ?

Find a job first, obtain relevant papers from employer, apply for work permit at labor office preferably together with employer representative. Once you've received the work permit you can start working.

You need paperwork from the company hiring you.
All work permits are for one company, one position and one place of work.

You first need to find a job, than you go to the labour office for a work permit with documents of both you and the employer. The labour office checks if you are allowed to do the job.

A work permit only allows you to work for the specified employer, in the specified capacity at the specified location(s).
