Thai's and contraceptives?

i just want to know why most Thai's aren't using any contraceptives. the most of my staff are females and none of them are using those. they got pregnant every now and then but keep complaining about the costs. though i ask why don't take precautions? most replies: i don't know.

is it a cultural, religious or educational thing? according to my information contraceptives are available at the pharmacy.although the use of condos seems pretty rare especially among the younger generations.

you are quiet right about the great story MrT but i am not banging my staff( even there are one or two were the temptation is there but i am a 100% faithfull husband).it is just confusing that even 19 or 20 year old gals got already one ore two kids and the genitor has done a runner. i just got a 19 year old boy as a steward and he is already a father.don't get me wrong when i was young i also took what i could get but at least precausion were in place.

However, a certain type of Thai woman that many foreigners only associate with, often do not use them, are getting knocked up at a very young age, and are having lots of kids. I'm guessing it is the type of business you are in that is skewing your perception

When I first got to Thailand women had 6 children each. As I got older and less active the birth rate also declined. Now it's 1 child per woman. If this is my fault I apologize and you young guys better get to work. I really think they should start having more children not less. I think most Thais engaged in business would agree with this. Unless you want labor to cost a lot more money get out there and start having kids.

Health issues aside (test and so on) that should be rewarded. Thailand needs more children and bigger kids to play football and taller children to play basketball.

i completely agree with you two or three kids are ok as long BOTH parents take care of them ( not the grand parents) and they get love,healthy food,parenting,education and morality tought and not just kept alive!!!

Grandparents took care of native North American kids. If good enough for American good enough for Thai.
