Featured Replies

im used to goa trance a lot - whats it like in koh phanang? im hoping to be able to DJ there, are there places that play all forms of dance music or is it selected types?

I am sure there is a variety of electronic dance music there, but GOA trance seems pretty specific. I don't know specifically about that area, but the club music in Pattaya is a mix of things to make it suitable for a worldwide crowd.

Are you trying to support yourself by being a DJ there?

Mostly in Thailand you will find commercial hip-hop being played in clubs

To DJ in Thailand even casually

without renumeration requires B visa and WP.

If you are internationally known and appearing at a

club or arena event sanctioned by a local promoter you can get an the required TP and other documentation

like other international superstar DJ's who appear here legally.

Getting frog-walked off the beach in irons in KP to the Monkey House just for spinning a few records

for beer money is no way to spend a holiday, but that's the way it is. Not worth it.

nah, for fun, no money required, even buy my own beer if i have to. im just a musician/DJ :] thats not even allowed?

and people frequently get nicked? ooh, changing my mind about going to thailand then maybe!

Working , Paid or umpaid, even volunteering requires the correct paperwork, with things the way they are right now you would be crazy to try anything dodgy over here.
