Going to Bangkok for 6 months. (Visa question)

Featured Replies

Thought I'd update this thread. I just got my passport. I'm leaving for Thailand on the 13th, but still kinda stressing about the visa. The one thing that I kept getting mixed answers to is if I can go to the Thai Embassy and get my visa in one day. And I'm also kinda confused about the whole picture thing, I hope my local CVS knows what I mean when I say I need a visa picture.

You are going back to pick up your visa on the Tuesday but previously said you are leaving the 13th. Did you change your flight?

Sorry I haven't responded. I was just able to get into account again. The trip went great, my budget of 300$ a month worked out alright, until I got ripped off at the border. Went there with my girlfriend and her father. We met up with a "travel agent", even though I said we didn't need one. Things were fine until he got me separated from my girlfriend. They kept adding amounts that I owed. Ending up spending about 80$ in total there. What ever.

Now I need help getting my girlfriend back here. She worked here last year, but did it through an agency. This time she wants to do it by herself, since the agencies charge way too much. Should I start a whole new thread for advice? Thanks.

For your girl friends visa you need to do another topic in the Visas and migration to other countries forum.
