Need some advise on how much to offer for Isuzu Pick up, 2009 / 80'000 km / 2.5 L Diesel / good condition. Thank you for a range of price I can offer to buy from a friend. I have no idea about cars. smile.png MS>

My Thai brother-in-law recently bought a similar pickup (ISUZU D-Max 2.5 i-TEQ) in great condition, just two years older and with a mileage of around 100000 km for 550000 THB.

What Trim ? makes a huge difference.....

you say 2 door ? is that model 'Single cab' ? lot cheaper than the 'Space Cab'

As for paying 550,000 baht, you can get a 'Space Cab' new model less than a year old for that price....

just for a guide a 2009 SLX with ABS and Airbags sell for around 365 -400,000 baht.

a 2010/11 SX sells for around the same price..

2009 2 door EX around 265- 285,000 baht.

The All New D-Max came out in 2012.... Plenty of these new shape one for sale less then 500,000 baht.

Note: Brand New in 2009 the ISUZU D-Max 2.5 i-TEQ SLX with ABS and 2 Airbags cost 605,000 baht with freebies + in the price 1 year 1st class Insurance and road Tax.

Actually, my brother-in-law's pickup truck is not the basic model, but a Hi-Lander SpaceCab "Gold Series" with ABS / EBD, airbags and many other extras. He bought it from a car dealership, not from an individual owner, and also got one year 1st class insurance. This pickup truck was apparently well-maintained and serviced, as per its warranty booklet.

I don't know much about the second hand car market in Thailand myself. When I was looking for a car, I had a look, but thought that second hand cars were way overpriced in this country, thus, I bought new for my own usage (also because I don't know much and am not very interested in mechanics). My brother-in-law seems to know much more than me, therefore, I suppose that it was not too bad a deal, but you probably can get a better price from individual owners, I guess...

To answer the thread, I'd estimate around 330,000 to 360,000 depending on condition.

Just for the hell of it, whats my 3.0 DMax Di Turbo worth? It's a double cab 4wd model 10 years old with 420,000kms on it. Runs great and everything works still.

It isn't the common rail model (missed the upgrade release by about 2 months, in fact it might well be the very last one that isn't common rail). For its 400,000k birthday it got new tyres, improved over OEM shocks, new pads and shoes, disks skimmed and all the front end rubber bushings replaced. Its had a 2inch lift and worn 265/70R16 AT tyres its whole life. On its second AC Evaporator which is still a fresh 100,000kms young and third fan. The wing mirrors glass has been replaced about 4 times and the entire assembly on the drivers side once.

The paintwork is immaculate apart from being a bit flat with lots of swirl marks and a few dings here and there. None of these dings should be called dents. Biggest is a 10baht coin size. The interior has been cared for by 3 children who's ages ranged from not even born yet up to 14 years, there is nothing stain or damage that couldn't be fixed with fire. To preserve the original beautiful cloths finish, at approximately 200,000km ago grey definitely not leather covers were custom made and fitted to match the existing grey plastic.

It also has hello kitty seat belt pads in the back and winnie the pooh ones in the front.

The plan is to use it until it dies, unless someone offers me surprisingly more than I think I could get for it.

So whats it worth?

10 years old

Somehow I don't think the kids aged from not even born to 14 years old.
