September 3, 201411 yr Mustang not coming to Thailand anytime soon. Hopefully some inspired importer will read this thread and bring the RHD in as a grey import, cost a bit more than direct from Ford but can be serviced there easily as a hint to importers reading this Ford japan will soon have them http://www.ford.co.jp/cars/mustang Edited September 3, 201411 yr by schweizer
September 3, 201411 yr This is a USA Mustang...around 1980...... mus.jpg That's when they were real ugly and SLOW. Must admit I watched these fugging excuses for a Mustang run 10's in Florida way back.......... And you are still stuck way back when reading your posts, You and Old Aged Pensioner.... Errrrrr Ace of Pop need to retire gracefully and start knitting cause any info or opinion either of you might have in regards to cars of this era was already out of date 20 years ago.

Petrol heads never die, only bigots think that...........Can you show me new-ish stuff that runs 10's....?
September 3, 201411 yr They only ran 10s because none of the mechanical parts were stock. In stock trim they ran 16s
September 3, 201411 yr They only ran 10s because none of the mechanical parts were stock. In stock trim they ran 16s Sure, the light weight and a tricked 5 ltr got the numbers...........
September 3, 201411 yr Petrol heads never die, only bigots think that...........Can you show me new-ish stuff that runs 10's....? The new Challenger Hellcat runs 10.8s off the showroom floor with drag radials.
September 3, 201411 yr That car's immaculate and right hand drive though.. Not much more then it would cost stateside in that condition. I was more complaining about the price tag because I cannot afford it. in the real world (not my impoverished one) I agree the price is not too unrealistic. Ok well, were both in that boat so I hear ya loud and clear...
September 3, 201411 yr Hmmmmmmmm, the 427, 429 would be my choice.............(7 litre)............... Turbo 2.3 litre 4 cyl - 305 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. Naturally aspirated 3.7 litre V6 - 300 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. Naturally Aspirated 5.0 V8 - 420 horsepower and 396 lb-ft of torque. I will take the 427 in an early muz.............If you talking about the later Muz that looks like a UK escort , put what you like in it....... I just don't see a UK Escort in the new Mustang, maybe you need some fresh glasses. Yep and independent suspension so it can handle now too... I'd love to track one of these..
September 3, 201411 yr Author Actually the prices are about 3.5m baht new as long as you don't go for the 5 litre versions. However they are all left hand drive. I was under the impression that a 2 litre right hand drive Mustang had been built and was soon to be supplied for the UK and other markets, there is also a 5 litre V8 for those who cannot stand the thought of anything less in a Mustang well i had 2 mustangs 1972 with a 359 v8 cleveland seound and best year for new body style then i have a 2007 mustang gt with lots of exta's added after new pulls about 500 hp

September 4, 201411 yr Really you are gunna drag up an old fox body mustang in a thread about US muscle cars (They kill it on the drag strip though). Most of the US car shows i watch go crazy about Fox body Mustangs how they are underrated (V8s of course) Edited September 4, 201411 yr by kartman
September 14, 201411 yr I was searching for a 60s Mustang and came across these 2 babies, any thoughts from those who know these models well, price etc? http://www.classiccarclubphuket.com/MustangFastback.html http://www.classiccarclubphuket.com/JoeSales/MustangShelby.html personally I am leaning towards the Shelby even though the fastback is a RHD

If you really want a Mustang there is a 1970 for sale in Bangkok which is probably cheaper than either of the 2 you are considering. http://www.one2car.com/FORD_MUSTANG/K08130040

Not a lot runs 10's fresh from the showroom floor. either now or way back then.... new cars (stock) however do run better numbers.

Must admit I watched these fugging excuses for a Mustang run 10's in Florida way back.......... They still do watched some the other night, also the fastest car out there which was a Datsun Sunny (yes I said Datsun) with a 13b rotary turbo (the size of the engine) running low 7:40's at 152 mph while shutting down early .. Crazy stuff! What a handful it was with that short wheel base!

There's oil all over the cardboard on the floor towards the front of the engine, I'd happily deal with it being left hand drive.

I would also be buying it for the right reasons, back home such a car could be said to often only exist to attract girls, here in Thailand the answer would be "Oh you only got an old Ford, poor you, better you buy a Toyota pickup"
September 14, 201411 yr THAT car will likely attract more guys than girls.. Not being a Ferrari or something else equally egotistically pretentious most women in this time could not appreciate that car and it's history .
September 14, 201411 yr Mustang not coming to Thailand anytime soon. Why not? The 2014 model is here.
September 15, 201411 yr Mustang not coming to Thailand anytime soon. Why not? The 2014 model is here. Where and what Ford dealers are selling them??? SHOW ME. There is only one 2014 on the gray market and it is over 5 million baht. http://www.one2car.com/FORD_MUSTANG/F11140275
September 15, 201411 yr Could not believe my eyes, about 200 metres from me in the sticks a Thai guy has a garden full of late-ish Mercs, think he buys and sells, past there yesterday to see what looked like a 69 Pontiac Grand Prix.... . As some know I am/was a Pontiac buff, I might just try and look under the hood....
