Mustang not coming to Thailand anytime soon.

Hopefully some inspired importer will read this thread and bring the RHD in as a grey import, cost a bit more than direct from Ford but can be serviced there easily

as a hint to importers reading this Ford japan will soon have them

They only ran 10s because none of the mechanical parts were stock. In stock trim they ran 16s

The new Challenger Hellcat runs 10.8s off the showroom floor with drag radials.

That car's immaculate and right hand drive though.. Not much more then it would cost stateside in that condition.

I was under the impression that a 2 litre right hand drive Mustang had been built and was soon to be supplied for the UK and other markets, there is also a 5 litre V8 for those who cannot stand the thought of anything less in a Mustang

well i had 2 mustangs 1972 with a 359 v8 cleveland seound and best year for new body style then i have a 2007 mustang gt with lots of exta's added after new pulls about 500 hp

Really you are gunna drag up an old fox body mustang in a thread about US muscle cars (They kill it on the drag strip though).

Most of the US car shows i watch go crazy about Fox body Mustangs how they are underrated (V8s of course)

Never did like the 68 rear end look and the back window has such a rake you have almost no rear visibility. If you really want a Mustang there is a 1970 for sale in Bangkok which is probably cheaper than either of the 2 you are considering.

Not a lot runs 10's fresh from the showroom floor. either now or way back then.... new cars (stock) however do run better numbers.

They still do watched some the other night, also the fastest car out there which was a Datsun Sunny (yes I said Datsun) with a 13b rotary turbo (the size of the engine) running low 7:40's at 152 mph while shutting down early .. Crazy stuff! What a handful it was with that short wheel base!

There's oil all over the cardboard on the floor towards the front of the engine, I'd happily deal with it being left hand drive.

I would also be buying it for the right reasons, back home such a car could be said to often only exist to attract girls, here in Thailand the answer would be "Oh you only got an old Ford, poor you, better you buy a Toyota pickup"

THAT car will likely attract more guys than girls.. Not being a Ferrari or something else equally egotistically pretentious most women in this time could not appreciate that car and it's history .

Problem is I don't speak Thai so they will think I want to buy it....
