BANGKOK: -- The underlying cause of significant marital strife in the kingdom has been identified by a study finding 36 percent of Thai men experience premature ejaculation, a problem driving rifts between married couples.

“Many said they were likely to ejaculate within a minute of starting sex,” fired off Sombun Lueangwatthanakit, a urinary expert at Bangkok Hospital in a report from the Bangkok Post.

Overall the study concluded men’s penises are mostly working just fine – they’re just jumping the gun.

From surveys of men 20 to 60, it found more individuals suffered from premature ejaculation than erectile dysfunction, and 90 percent said they first experienced the problem soon after losing their virginity.

Premature ejaculation takes both an emotional and mental toll on the men, who often become worried and dissatisfied with their sex lives.
