According to the weatherforecast it should be 33 celcius today, i put my thermometer in the garden in full sun and it is 43.

In the house it is 33 so is the weatherforecast always predicting inhouse temperatures?

And what is the temperature in your garden/house today? I live in BKK..

If you want an accurate outdoor temperature then don't leave your thermometer in full sunlight as it will heat it up more than the true air temperature. The weather forecast is based on measurements taken outdoors but not in direct sunlight or in complete shade.

They always quote temperatures under shade.

You left the thermometer under the sun?

Next time try to direct the sun beam with a magnifying glass on the thermometer and come back to share with us your readings.

Why don't you get A/C 33C in your house. Quite balmy.

A/C 29 is what i like and a big difference with the garden. But i prefer to hear the birds and have open windows as long as it's bearable.

Finally we have rain now since a week, love it!

Temperature measurements / forecasts are for outdoors and in the shade.

Also worth noting is that humidity has an affect on how hot it feels. It's common to see weather forecasts stating something like:

"33 C (feels like 39 C)"

This is typically because of the humidity, however this does not mean that it is 39 degrees celsius.

In countries with cold winters, wind chill is another factor. The East of England with an Easterly wind can feel like Antartica!

In countries with arctic like conditions, Morris Dancing naked also makes the temperature feel colder.
