Before I book I need to know what the charges for change of schedule are. QR online booking does not give a clear answer.

Anyone knows the answer? Flight would be BKK-FRA return business class

Qatar Air confirmed

for our new promotional after you purchase ticket change the date permitted with USD 250 + fare difference (if any).

What does it actually mean? The way I read it the passenger has no clue what he must pay if he changes the schedule . Assume a change in the flight dates but still within the time frame of the Special (Sep 014- June 015) Assume I pick a new return flight for March 27 ---fictional---.

And Qatar has in the meantime a new tariff, what is your price?? Straight USD 250 or USD 250 plus difference to the then valid new fare. That would be my interpretation. At least there is ample room for endless arguments which the passenger will lose.

To me it's rather clear ... the change fee if the tickets are let's say $1,000 US dollars and the new ticket for a new day is $1,000 US dollars then you would just pay $250 dollar change fee (out of pocket additional cost). However, if the new ticket was now $1,500 dollars you would pay $1,750 dollars for the new ticket hence a net additional cost of $750 dollars out of pocket.

They can not tell you what the cost would be as it all depends on what you would change the ticket to and how much the new basis fare would be. The only thing this or any airline can tell you are thier change fee cost as the difference in the price of the ticket varies from day to day and seat to seat.

It's two years ago now that I last flew. Their local telephone service was non-contactable and one-time picked up and immediately put down on me.

Their Qatar-based customer service centre acknowledged that some of their branches are thinly staffed and sorted my query quickly and in perfect English.

I had similar issues with Emirates

Service on board was a "5-star" one. However, almost every time I had to contact their customer service it was "challenging" (understatement!)

As a side note, I was flying LHR - DXB - SIN / HKG twice a month in business class and was @ the top tier of their FF program.

Just my 2 cents
