Hi Folks,

My inlaws came to Thailand on 14th July 2014 with Tourist visa(60 days) ended on 11th Sep 2014.

Before 11th Sep 2014, we have converted their visa to Retirement visa on 9th Sep 2014 with single entry stamp.

So my question is :

Do they need to do 90 days reporting in Oct 2014 or in Dec 2014

Any comments or suggestion will help.

thnx in advance

One more thing i would like to ask here - there was a mistake from Samut Prakan immigration officer while giving them Retirement Visa.

Officer stamped extension till 'Nov 2016' instead of 'Nov 2015'.

When i shown them that they have corrected it by 'Nov 2016' to 'Nov 2015' & signed - this will not cause any issue, correct.

I have had a retirement extension for the last eight years. This year, however, I let it lapse as I've been living outside Thailand for six months. (The extension lapsed 04-Sept-2014.)

I'm returning the end of this month on a 30-day visa-exempt stamp and then will apply for the Non-O conversion and subsequent retirement extension at Cholburi (Jomtien) Immigrations. For the purposes of 90-day report, will this be considered my "first" retirement extension?

Yes, it will, but I saw a recent post by a member who said that his immigration office saw it differently and find him for not having made the 90-day report. Best check with your immigration office how they interpret it.
