Been going through some old threads but can't find anything on the following question.

Do Thai Customs apply any difference on import duty on Duty free wine or duty paid wine from a neighbouring country.

I imagine the answer is No, they apply the import duty to both if over the two litres.

Anyone confirm ?

The limit is 1 Litre.

Unless something has changed recently there is no (official) mechanism for paying the duty on liquor over the limit sad.png

Correct, the limit is only 1 litre, there are many people who say its 2, but that its incorrect info. If you check Duty Free Allowance on THAI airways website, it will say 1.

If you get caught, you will be fine and many times goods will also be confiscated depending on the agent. By law they are suppose to confiscate it, if you meet a nice immigration officer, he/she will allow you to take it after you get fined.
