So my villa was broken into and my passport was stolen. I have organized an appointment at VFS for passport application. And then to the embassy to get the ETD. My question is, can I fly from Phuket to BKK with a drivers license, if not what do I need to use?

Have you done a police report. You will need it to get your passport, ETD and at immigration.

The will accept a drivers license for ID.

A drivers license should be fine for a domestic plane. many people travel domestically without a passport.

Don't forget to bring the police report when you go to the embassy and immigration later.
