Proving residence, when renting privately owned property

Featured Replies

In the next few weeks I'm leaving Bangkok ( the pollution, noise, traffic is getting to me!!! ) after 18 months.

We will be renting a property owned by my wife's Aunty, which is currently empty, in the Yasothon / Mukdahan area.

I'm currently 1/2 way through my 2nd extension of stay based on marriage. Obviously prior to my 90 day report, after moving to the new place, I would have to submit TM 28 ASAP to the immigration office covering that area.

We are starting to build our own property in the same area, if we are still in the rented property when I have to do my renewal (May 2015) will I need an entry in the house book??? Or just a letter from the owner, plus ID and house book copy?

Rental agreement along with a signed copy of aunties house book and her ID. Just draw up a simple rental agreement and have her sign it as you'll most likely not have one since she's a relative. PM me and I'll send you one that I used when I was living away from home during the week while teaching.

.

There are blank rental forms available (in Thai, of course) at stationary/office supply stores. My landlord uses them.
