power of attorney to Thai Lawyer? experiences...

I am able to sell a house i recently build here in Thailand, but won't be in Thailand when the people purchasing the house want to make the payment. Neither ismy Thai wife.

Giving a lawyer a power of attorney to sell the house is an option, but i have no experience with this.

Only am well aware of many stories about Thai lawyers not to be trusted.

Are these stories founded to your opinion?

Do you think it is safe to do this?

Do you have experience with this?

All stories are welcome. Good and bad experiences.

Just draw up a contract of sale you or a lawyer in your own Country can do this and instruct the buyer to pay you directly. Then give POA to a Thai lawyer to complete the transfer at the land office.

Don't let the lawyer handle the cash.
