EASIEST VISA FOR 60 DAY STAY IN THAILAND.

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but can someone tell me the easiest way to stay in Thailand for 60 days with the new visa rules being applied.

PS not really wanting to leave and return, its purely a holiday visa.

A single entry tourist visa will give you 60 days permission to stay on entry and can be extended for another 30 days at immigration for 1900 baht. You can apply at an Embassy/Consulate in your home country, cost 100 baht per entry. If you are already here you can get one in Laos as posted above.

Tourist Visa Single Entry in either Savannakhet or Vientiane.

And please stop posting in ALL CAPS

Its not all in capital letters only the heading.

Even if it was ALL in capital letters whats the problem ?

Just a point of on-line manners ...... CAPITAL LETTERS ARE THE EQUIVALENT OF SHOUTING.

Doesn't bother me but some people do get all hot and bothered about it.

If you can get a tourist visa it would be best to get one.

If you qualify for it you could enter and get a 30 day visa exempt entry that can now be extended for 30 days at immigration (1900 baht). But you might be need a ticket out with 30 days of your arrival to board your flight.

Yes having the exit ticket within 30 days of arrival is the problem, didn't want the hassle of changing it when i got into Thailand.

Does you know if i can get a 60 day tourist visa in Dubai before i leave ? I am a British citizen don't know if that will help or not.

The consulate in Dubai requires you have UAE residency in order to apply for a visa. See: http://www.thaiconsulatedubai.com/default2.aspx?language=EN&entry_key=M3S1&item=M3S1&menu=M3&

You could look for a low cost one way ticket to a nearby country (check Air Asia) to satisfy the 30 days requirement. Buying one in advance you can find them so cheap you could just trash it and not loose a lot.

Since the Visa is valid for 3 months from the date of issue, if you are going to be in the UK prior to Dubai you could get one there as long as you enter before the 3 month validity period expires.

Thanks' for your input wayned but i won't be in the UK prior to visiting Thailand.

Ubonjoe's idea with the cheap onward ticket seems the best and easiest way.

No need to pay for a ticket. See

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/754481-boarding-to-thailand-without-return-ticket/

Not correct i have been asked twice when checking in :

Once in Kuwait with Qatar Airways i had booked a one way ticket with my air-miles and didn't know when i was leaving. They would not let me board until i had a valid ticket for leaving Thailand.

Second time in Manchester i had booked a one way flight with Ethiad and they asked me for the same a valid ticket for leaving Thailand. I had also booked the outbound ticket with Ethiad air-miles. When i showed the ticket i was allowed to fly.

I have seen a one way ticket with Air Asia to Phomn Phen from BKK priced at 38 UK pounds, i will purchase that better to be safe than sorry.

Please note, the thread linked above does not say that one is not asked a return ticket.

Rather it lists some methods that can be used to be allowed boarding without spending any money.

Use these methods or not, it's clearly up to you.

Ah yes Paz, sorry i did not read it properly. I like the idea of buying the e-ticket and getting a full refund.

Thank you, i will look into that thumbsup.gif.pagespeed.ce.dtxKiAJ9C7.gif.
