Bangkok agent to do extension on my tourist visa?

Recommended Posts

I'm considering hiring a Bangkok agent to do the extension on my tourist visa?

What is the usual range of cost for this service?

Where should i look to find a reputable agent? A travel agency?

"...if you feel you require the services of an Agent, ensure it is an OISC registered body.

Where can i find a list of OISC agents?

"Up to you on using an agent. Both sponsors of this forum can assist you with the application for the new extension of stay."

Who are the forum sponsors?

"Well, I got my Non-Immigrant O, "Retirement Visa" and Mulit-Entry Permit yesterday through a Visa Agent . Very painless and very easy, dropped my passport/photos/bank book off with them on Tuesday, got it all back yesterday."

I recieved one quote of 8000 baht. Too much for me. In another thread someone said they paid 1000 re four trips at 90 day intervals. If that's 250 baht for each extension, then it's cheaper than what i'd pay for the cab fare for trips to & from the immigration office in BKK (which is near Don Maeng airport). .

The 1000 baht was for 90 day reports not extensions.

Just do it yourself. All you need is a completed TM7 form with an attached photo. Copies of your passport photo page, visa, entry/permit to stay stamp and TM6 departure card.

Download and print the form 2 sided. http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/tm7.pdf

Map and info on how to get to immigration is here: http://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/location1.html

What does immigration recommend for those crippled folks who can't get there in person for their extension, or whose doctors have advised them not to travel? Overstay?

Are you saying that you are crippled and your doctor advised you not to travel, and you disregarded his advice and flew to Thailand with a tourist visa?
