B-Visa Kuala Lumpur

Featured Replies

Hello

I plan to go next week to Kuala Lumpur to make a new B-Visa.

I have all documents from my Company already. The only document i don't have is the Letter of approval from ministry of Labour.

My Company can get this letter next week, but then I'm out of Thailand already, so my question:

The Letter of approval from ministry of Labour must be the orginal or my Company can scan it a send to me by E-Mail and i print it out?

And i belive this Letter of approval from ministry of Labour is the WP3 Letter?

Thanks Chris

You must have the original of the work permit approval letter.

It is not the work permit application receipt which I think you are calling the WP3.

Hello

Thanks for your answer.

Then i can't do it in time.

Can i go with a tourist Visa first and then change in Thailand to B-Visa?

And what i need for documents at KL for Tourist Visa?

I stay for about 7 Years in Thailand with a B-Visa what every Year was extended, but now because of some problems with my Company it can't be done. So i have to apply for a new Visa and make a new Work permit.

Thanks Chris

The Letter of Approval has to be specifically requested from labour, it's a single page letter A4 sized, 100% in Thai and signed by the Head of Department at your local labour department.

KL will insist on having the original document.

As Ubonjoe has already posted, it's most certainly not the A5 sized WP3 application receipt.

Note that since the episode last year with stolen visa stickers from KL, they have been leant on big time, being now next to impossible to deal with and super strict - better you plan to go somewhere else.

If you need extra time you could apply for a 7 day extension at immigration.

You may need to show financial proof to get a tourist visa in KL. They are not a good place to get any visa.

You could completed you work permit application with a tourist visa entry.

The only place where you might be able to change from a tourist visa is at Bangkok immigration.

Hello

Thanks for your answers

I'm located in Bangkok.

Unlucky wise i booked my tickets to KL already, so have to go to KL.

How much money have to show and Bankbook(or Copy?) is okay.

And have to show a flight ticket out of Thailand?

Thanks Chris

Your bank book and a copy showing at least 20k baht in the account. I have seen no reports of them asking for tickets.
