October 8, 201411 yr My wifes son is attending an ASEAN relatet course at Phuket Rajabhat University. <http://www.pkru.ac.th/home.php> They even went 3 days to Burma. He passed the Burmese language course with a B+ grade. I asked him, how much Burmese he knows now. After much thinking he came up with "Mingla ba". (Hello) That's it? Yes.

The current curriculum used in basic education schools is still the Basic Education Core Curriculum BE 2551 (AD 2008). A new curriculum is in progress though.
