They are used in bangkok but i see it less and less over the years.

You can also consider a brand new yamaha tricity with three wheels.

Yamaha Tricity is almost like a 2 wheeler. needs to balance it. I'm old. so is my missus !! lol...

so, need to get a Gyro...

I've only seen 2 or 3 in the last 5 years and 10,000 km of BKK riding.

Maybe Mocyc classifieds.

I have seen a conversion of Wave like bikes to a solid rear axle with 2 wheels in back.

This might be a more modern and reliable approach.

Can you even register one in Thailand? I thought the only 3-wheelers that were registrable were commercial tuk-tuks operated by Thais.

I'm asking out of curiosity, cuz medically I'm not able to ride my Kawa 650 any more (sold it) and can't ride a scooter, and I hate driving the pickup.

it's 50 cc, so no need licence or registration...

No you can't.

Disabled persons are normally allowed to have a converted bike (into 3 wheels) registered in their own name.

For you with a medical condition, I don't know to be honest but you should make further checks and see if it's possible.

Not quite correct 50cc and below are NOT legal to register tax etc BUT some municipal (towns) allow them, usually university towns. And they are only for use within the municipal boundary.

The 2-wheels-in-back scooter trikes are pretty easy to tip over.

2WIB ATVs (trikes) have been banned in USA for many years.

Operate with care & helmet.

I see 2-wheels-in-front conversions & 4-wheel ATVs on the streets.

Getting a Dr.'s note should be easy.
