I want to be certain about Nok Air requirements . I want to book a flight on line with my credit card the reservation is for someone else .It sounds like Nok Air wants this person to have in possession my card to show and my ID or Passport at the check in counter???

" Can I pay by credit card for someone else?

Yes, you can. But do not forget to inform that person the Booking Number, which will be used with your ID Card or passport at the check-in counter on the traveling day. For International credit card payments (credit cards issued outside Thailand), the cardholder must present the credit card at the airport check-in counter

for physical verification. Otherwise, Nok Air reserved the rights to deny boarding."

I book regularly with Nok Air for other people, and have had flights booked for me by other people.

In both situations have been using a virtual Kasikorn visa card (called a K-web shopping card - there is no physical card)

Never have to show ID, nor a credit card (or copy of credit card), just present the booking print out, or better still do the online check in.

Hi thanks for the quick reply but correct me if I'm wrong The Kasikorn card is a Thailand affiliation. I will be be using a card(international) thats issued out of Thailand. Look at the original post .This is what's confusing. Anyway I thought I could get a answer here without having to contact the call center which has been a problem in the past trying to come to terms

Hi, you didn't mention in your OP that you personally would be using a credit card issued in a country outside of Thailand.

Have also used an Australian credit card to the same effect with Nok - again no credit card was asked for at check in when booking for a person other than the card holder. The example I used was to point out that even when a physical credit card cannot be produced, no card was asked for at check in by Nok Air, nor ID for the person who booked the flight.

By all means keep trying to clarify this with Nok, however I am confident that other replies to your post will support my above experiences.
