I plan on entering Don Muang BKK airport in 3 days. I am American and I am flying on Air Asia from Osaka, Japan to BKK Don Muang. My return flight back to Japan is in two months. I last entered Thailand 5 months ago. I do not have a visa but will get a 30 day tourist visa upon arrival and then extend that for another 30 days at the immigration office for a total of two months. Will I encounter any problems? Thanks in advance.

Some international airlines will not let you board on a ticket of that duration unless you have onward hotel or flights booked.

depends on the airline or even the member of staff checking you in. the last time i flew with etihad they queried my 6.5 month stay on a 6 month visa. once i'd educated them about visa extensions they let me board.

you could buy a cheap outward ticket then bin it.

No need, there are alternatives mentioned in the thread linked above.
