I thought I'd bring my question here re who would you sign rather than keep it on the Liverpool thread?

You did mention Bale (good choice) with a proviso and gave a well formulated description of the team you want.

I didn't however see the names of the 2 other players you would sign?

Go on stick your neck out.biggrin.png

Only 2? I could rattle off loadsbiggrin.png

I agree with jellydog and would love Falcao but there's so much speculation around him at the moment, who knows what'll happen.

Edin Cavani would be another but with a rumoured price tag of 60mil, it's too much IMO.

That's the strikers.

As for midfield. It may surprise you but I'd have Ronaldo. Would he come to City? Doubt it very much but I do like the arrogant git. Actually I've met him in person and he's a nice lad.

We have also been linked with that Armenian from Shaktar Donesk. Don't really know much about him apart from he's supposed to be quite a prolific goal scorer for a midfielder.

There. That's all your getting from me tongue.png

Don't worry Mr B, won't have True to watch any games anyway! sad.png

Nice of you to give them anything MrB ! They're only looking to cause trouble ! I agree Cavani is overpriced. He's been too hot and cold lately as well.

On the Balotelli subject. It only smarts a little to see him doing well at Milan. I don't think he would have duplicated those stats at City. I'd bet he's much more settled in Italy and good for him. He'll probably be showing his ass less and less apt to cause a ruckus.

Them? It's only me and I like to put Mr B on the spot, he can take it (or ban me).biggrin.png

I was really looking for a wish list of people that would come to City because they are a better option than anywhere else. I wasn't particularly looking for mercenaries or those that wouldn't come at any price. I think City are going to have a hard job signing players of the calibre they need. They might have more luck with a better manager. wink.png

Hmmm...open sewers eh?

Modelled on Maine Road's drainage no doubt. wink.png

Maine Road was a sewer...!! I know, I lived 10 minutes walk away.. wink.png

redrus

10 minutes walk could have you in a relatively nice area of Alex Rd Sth, or some of the moodier areas of Fallowfield, or hard core Moss Sidelaugh.png and plenty of areas inbetween. 10 minutes walk could be the difference in chalk and cheese.laugh.png

Guidetti, given a chance , will be unreal.

I would take a chance on Benteke. If Suarrez was seriously available, I would take him in a heartbeat.

De Rossi, if Mancini stays. Isco to replace Nasri. I think Vermaelan could be bought at a decent price.

My mouth is watering waiting for Guidetti to get given a run jack. Can't be far off being fully fit now can he?

For me I haven't been too impressed in what I've seen thus far with Vermaelan. He's good but is he great. Mmmmm

Benteke has had a lot of paper talk lately. Interesting one that one and Isco is a good shout.

J&D, I lived in Fallowfield and, Levenshulme.

Mr BJ, I think very highly of you, as a person....

Come on buddy. You called Maine Rd a sewer. To call the area a sewer is probably insulting about 30% of the UK. Do you really think OT is some sort of architectural beacon built within an Oasis of the upper class? Maine Rd was what football grounds used to be, located in the community and not stuck out in an industrial estate. For a short while many moons ago, I lived on Walton Breck Rd and used to love the hustle and bustle on a saturday of the scousers going to Anfield.

Hey Mr B, did you see that stunner that Balotelli scored for Italy yesterday........what a player! sorry.gif

Yeah, it was a belter. He's also scored 7 I think, in six games for Milan. Me and jack both knew he had the potential. wink.png

So, what WAS the problem?

I think the english media.

Oh and he's a nut case. biggrin.png

I don't think Mancini's the greatest man manager but the biggest problem is that Mario, bless is just a complete and utter attention seeking tool thats totally wrapped up in his own percieved self importance.

Reading this makes me feel so lucky that white hart lane is located in the warm friendly area of london that it is.

Incidentally, anyone who travelled to craven cottage knows that Fulham surrounding area is the nicest probably seconded by chelsea. How wasted is that on the chavs!

I like the Reebok......has to be the only ground where you can legally sh*g inside the stadium while watching a live match. "He shoots...he scores!" thumbsup.gif

Yeah it's an Hotel as well isn't it. On weekends they turn the bedroom into a box I think.

Is this newish TV format driving anyone else nuts?

Carry on chaps sorry.gif

Yeah, your'e not the first to say this. I have also reported it and George says there is a bug mainly in the quotes functionality and the fix should be available in a couple of weeks. Hopefully it should solve it.

Yeah it's a De Vere hotel, you can watch the match from your room, but you have to pay extra otherwise they close blinds from the outside

This is great news. We have bought a 16 yeard old youth from Arsenal. We'll be able to claim he is home grown and we brought him through our youth system clap2.gif

England youth international Denzeil Boadu has announced he has signed for Man City

Manchester City have snapped up England youth international Denzeil Boadu from Premier League rivals Arsenal.

The 16-year-old, who began his career with Tottenham, was told by Arsenal in December that he would not be getting kept on at the Emirates.

Now, with a number of clubs known to be keen, Boadu has confirmed that he has joined Manchester City.

So he was dumped by Arsenal then!

Yes not good enough for Arsenal and dumped by Spurs say's it all really, how desperate city have become since the FFP.biggrin.png

How predictable that you two alleged supporters of a youth system would come up with that.

The article does say that there were several clubs keen on him. But whether he makes it or not, we have given him a chance when Spurs and the Arse have dumped him. Wonder how many young kids United dumped to come up with those 9 who have made it through.

However, my point wasn't about whether he's good or not, it's about the fact that we can buy a cockney who probably has never been to Manchester and then claim we brought him through the youth system like someone close to us does !!

Poor kid is just a pawn for you lot. rolleyes.gif

I'll take the opportunity to wish him every success at club and especially International level. He don't sound English to me. biggrin.png

He has represented England at U-16.

But of course he will never be as good as anybody who has come through the United system.
