ED Visa - Documents from school stating 25 hrs & 6 month term

Featured Replies

I would like to apply for a regular class in thai school with what i am aware so far would be 2 x 4 hours per week for 1 year ED Visa.

The application docs from school are stating 25 hours with 5 x 5 hours per week and a period of half a year.

  • Do I get a one year ED Visa with it?
  • I read that there is a distinction between extension periods of 3 month and 6 month which affect the teaching hours of 2 x 4 respectively 5 x 5?

Unless you got it from somewhere far away you will not get one year multiple entry non-ed visa.

You could get a single entry non-ed visa and then and get an extension(s) of stay equal to your approved course of study.

Thanks ubonjoe for your answer.

I do not require a multiple entry visa, necessarily.

However, I would need to get a regular ED Visa (single entry) with it and possibility to extend it up to 1 year.

Will that be possible?

Any clue what the hours of study must say?

For a language school the longest extension you can get is 90 days because it is considered a non formal school.

If it is formal such as a university a one year extension is possible.

Thanks. I am referring to 90 days extensions over the course of one year.

For a study at a language school you can get extensions of 90 days, but after having stayed for 1 year you must leave Thailand and apply for a new ED-visa.
