my fiancee has relocated to Phuket. what visa should I apply to stay with him

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. I need help. My French fiancee has just relocated to Phuket and I am (malaysian) on 60days tourist visa to stay with him.(will try to extend another 30 days) we are only getting married next year April.

I am wondering what kinda of visa I should/could apply to stay with my finacee in Phuket? Will I have problem reapplying 60days tourist visa after I my 3months is up. Can I bring my fiancee work permit and letter to show the embassy that my fiancee is working in Phuket?don't want to be blacklisted.please advice. Thank you

Until you get married tourist visas are your only option. Once you are married you would need to go out for single entry non-o visa based upon you being his dependent and then you could apply for a extension of stay at immigration as his dependent.

Rather than going for single entry visas it might be worth the cost to make a trip to Vientiane or Savannakhet Laos to for a 2 entry tourist visa that would give you 6 months of stay without needing new visa.

Hey ubonjoe.. Thanks for your advice

I guess until we are married in April. I can do another round of single tourist visa? we need to go back to France mid of March and then I will try to get dependent visa.do you think it will work?

Until you are married you will not get a non-o visa as a dependent anywhere.

How many back to back tourist visas form the same embassy or consulate you can get will depend upon where you are getting them.
