Non Imm O - Care for daughter - New lease for condo

Featured Replies

My GF and I are about to sign a new 1 year lease for a condo

Was wondering a couple things

1- If my Thai GF signs the lease can I still use this lease as a guarantor when I for to Chang Wattana for a 60 extension?

Thus making my Thai GF the gaurantor

2- If she signs the lease and she declares the rent paid on tax forms so she pays less in taxes?

1. Immigration doesn't care. They will only want to see some proof of address from you and your child, to determine where you have to apply for the extension.

2. ????.

Let her sign the lease if you want, just get one of the utilities (phone, Internet. water, or electricity) in your name. That will be enough for Immigration as a proof of address

Beside that is not always easy for a foreigner to get an utility contract signed, it is not even necessary.

Only if Immigration ask, it will be enough a note from the person renting to indicate the applicant is living there..

For the personal income tax return, rental expenses are not a deductable expense.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place
