We have a sattelite dish that picks up the HotBird Sattelite. This has the Thai Global Network station ( TV5) as part of the package ( +900 other channels ) .

It cost about £150 to have it installed ( about 2 years ago ) and there are no subscription fees.

If you do a search on google you will find an installation company in your area.

When we are in UK the wife watches Thai TV on the internet, mainly news, quite good feed if you have broadband, she is out shopping at present, probably buying up half of Paragon to ship back, but will post the link when she returns....if she can recall it!

The Thai Global TV Network is available in Europe on the Hotbird 3 satellite

I think if you have Sky TV in the UK you can get a bigger dish and be able to receive it.

To be honest, the free-to-air digital receivers are so cheap now that it's not worth the hassle of modifying your Sky setup to get Thai.

Also means the missus can watch her soaps whilst we watch the match :o

100-150 squid should get her watching. Hotbird also carries a Buddhist channel with a Thai audio track, not sure if it's full time (or even if it's still on the air, we were last in Europe 2 years ago).

I have recently had a new satellite system installed and I am hoping Thai Global Network will help me as I begin the daunting task of trying to learn to speak, or at least understand, the language.
