Here is another still from one of the videos with a different date and time

http://www.chiangraitimes.com/son-of-koh-tao-island-chief-denies-any-role-in-britons-murder.html

Mr. Warot’s lawyer, Attakorn Onart, presented reporters with a still photograph from CCTV footage that showed Mr. Warot at his university and residence in Bangkok on 13-15 September.

Surprised the press would ignore any inconsistencies with the videos given they are getting a ton of viewers keeping doubts going in the case

I've seen this shot before, and I keep seeing the same thing.

Can anyone please explain to me why some of the numbers are white and some are black, also the contrast of 13-09-20 doesn't match the rest of the stamp.

Looks like a very rushed photoshop job to me.

CCTV does that. It reverses the tones automatically. black on white, white on black.

Why is it not white on the camera id number in the bottom right corner if that is the case?

Because the optics in a cctv cameras (like any video camera) don't handle light very well. My cameras have flares and fragments and aberrations all over them, At certain times, they have trouble discerning the conditions. If someone walks in front of a bright light, or clouds... a million things can affect that. I don't consider this conclusive at all.

I thought Mr Miller's phone was found in the possessions of the suspects?

What was running man carrying in his left hand on the cctv.

David had 2 phones one for uk and one for travelling.

The police planted one of these phones in david's luggage along with the blood stained pants to fit up chris ware.

The phone had a cracked screen with a blonde hair attached...where is it now.

It's been in the luggage, behind the suspects quarters and now the clock tower.

The police said it was found behind the suspects quarters smashed to bits in a plastic bag. Why a plastic bag.

The phone didn't look smashed when it was recovered.

This is verifiable as shown on news clips so no mess ups here.

......remember that mon was there from the get go. He is the crime scene director.

Where did the green towel covering hannah come from?

A very interesting picture has just appeared on CSI of the crime scene and one of the alleged murderers

He isn't a suspect in these murders.

Social media are not the police or public prosecutors. Allegations made on social media are subject to both civil and criminal law, and people need to remember that.

What this picture does show is that a member of a local business / politically connected family in Thailand can, and often do, go where they fancy. There was a tape barrier but no officer to guard it. As a prominent local, the local plod police would treat him with deference. Seems to work like that here. His family own the resort where the victims stayed - maybe perhaps why he was there?

There are also pictures showing others wandering around freely. Not good at securing a crime scene.

British police visit Ko Tao crime scene on weekend

SURAT THANI, Oct 27 -- Three British police officers made a weekend inspection of locations on Ko Tao in the Gulf of Thailand where the two British tourists visited before their brutal murders last month.

Pol Lt Gen Pravut Thawornsiri, acting assistant to Thailand's national police chief, took the three Scotland Yard police officers and two other officials, including a British embassy officer, to inspect locations including a restaurant, a surveillance camera and a convenience store which the two victims visited just before they were murdered.

The British police officers later attended a meeting with Thai police at the meeting room of Ko Tao municipality office and, according to Pol Lt Gen Pravut, said they were satisfied with the evidence obtained by the Thai police and the way the investigation is being carried out.

The British officers, who arrived in Bangkok Wednesday, later returned to the capital.

They are expected to stay in Thailand for some time to try to gather for more information relating to the killing of the two British victims.

Their report will be given to the British government later, said Pol Lt Gen Pravut.

To date, two Myanmar migrant workers on the island have been apprehended and charged by police with murdering Hannah Victoria Witheridge, 23, and David William Miller, 24.

Their bodies were found early on September 15 on a beach of Ko Tao off the southern coastal province of Surat Thani.

Both were brutally murdered, and Miss Witheridge was also raped.

Meanwhile, the Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Office in London issued a statement saying that the mission of the three British officers is to discuss the deaths with Thai police in order to gain a better understanding on investigation conducted by the Thai side.

It said the British police may offer assistance if asked by the Thai government.

So far the prosecutor office has not yet filed charges to the criminal court because the lawyer and the parents of the accused Myanmar men have asked for additional investigation.

Police, however, said they are not worried even if the two suspects recant their earlier statements during a trial as they have strong evidence against them. (MCOT online news)

.... This despite the fact that police early on showed they were not scared or intimidated by the headsman family. Like other early suspects they came out publicly stating the headsman's family were involved but like other earlier suspects, they were ruled out.

I dont know how you come to this conclusion, no DNA tests and intrest dropped and not mentioned again after a change of plod.

At least in part ruled out because the son was not on the island at the time of the murders.

Sorry JTJ, but there is no proof that the Son was not on the Island. When his lawyer came out with the CCTV footage of him at UNI, it was at 9:16am on the 15th september.

There is no proof of his whereabouts on the 14th evening

He was named as a prime suspect early in the investigation and was never properly cleared.

In an interview shortly after the murder's, his father stated that he was not sure of his where bouts. His girlfriend posted on facebook questions as to his where bouts. Even if the dates in the CCTV footage were enought to clear him, which they are not, the CCTV still photo appears to have been edited, and it is not taken at the location that he stated it was. The CCTV footage that the still is supposed to have been taken from is not available. He was reported to have left the island on the early morning in a speed boat. There are reports that he was seen with injuries that are consistent with someone that might have been involved in a fight.

In light of the reasonable doubts that exist as to his where bouts and involvement, prudent police would have at least reviewed cell phone activity from the island during the early morning hours of the murder and also reviewed commercial air travel records to eliminate concern. Additionally, as a prime victim, a mandatory DNA test should have been taken, as was required by several hundred locals that were not suspects.

Police investigated and cleared him.

Just like they cleared others the conspiracy theorists wanted to lynch.

1 Million or 120 Million which would you take?

You have any evidence of your statement?

First you confirm you have no evidence regarding the 120 Million baht. The you say offering someone 1 million baht to prove a member of your family guilty of murder is a bribe?

So you believe this guy is attempting to bribe the police to fit up his son or another member of his family?

I call it an ill judged off the cuff remark that the police could have taken as a challenge or taunt, however it was meant to appear.

JD, that is only the word of the Police that cleared him.

Conspiracies aside, we are arguing that we don't believe the Police.

There has been no transparency, the Police say: We have cleared him, we have tested them, this, that. Only their word for it.

The Police have conspired many times to commit or cover crimes in the past.

This is why we don't beleive what the police say.

I guess even with the FCO statement ( the 3rd) people will still second guess what the UK officers are here for.

Yes until the RTP stops speaking on behalf of others. Once people hear it from the British investigators then it might stop.

Mon is guilty of being on a roped off crime scene with no authority or reason to be there. He should be questioned as to why he was there.

How do you know the police officers didn't call him to come? His family own the nearby resort and bars. Maybe they telephoned him, or saw him at the tape and called him over, to see if he could ID the victims.

You actually have no idea why he was there, nor does anyone.

Burmese are 100% innocent if this is true

According to CSILA, Hannah was shot in the head before she was hit by the hoe. He claims he already knew this but didn't want to talk about it because the graphic nature of the image. Apparently a forensic experts told CSILA that Hannah's head looked like was suffered from a bullet wound and this is why the killer(s) used the hoe as a cover up.

I don't know it this is true, this even adds more fuel to the fire the Burmese are totally innocent because I really don't think these Burmese boys carried around a gun did they? I may add I saw the unedited picture, which I do not recommend anybody to look at, but it does makes sense to me.

Predictable non credible story.... I doubt the Brit police would comment on the job done by the RTP. A non sensical report really.

Regardless of what evidence is presented in any courts, or the British police report, many have already decided the "truth" based on a fb page, TV and their own readiness to believe what the want to believe.

Now that's nonsensical for sure.

Easy sorted. The cops will now have another rumble thru the bushes where they found the phone, and will find a gun in a plastic bag.

I have this suspicion that the DNA matches are less than conclusive. And that's being charitable.

If there is a DNA match at all, why do you think it would not be conclusive?

I assume there are 2 and they are conclusive.

Perfect example of your disingenuous responses to people:

First sentence, it's obvious he means conclusively pointing to the two present suspects. How is that not clear to you?

Second, you "assume" conclusiveness. Perfect example of your one of your most common rhetorical tricks, and one of how you are often completely hypocritical.

"According to" "Some expert told him so" - yeah sure.

That page will probably reveal who killed JFK, the whereabouts of Jimmy Hoffa and Lord Lucan, and what really happened on the Marie Celeste next.

But, his "likes" and page readers have shot up though.
