Having trouble finding any spare parts for a total rebuild but then again I am in Mukdahan and have tried all the bike shops here with out luck, does anyone know of a shop that specialises in these old bikes, a web site or any info, mainly after complete engine and gear box gaskets ,front fork seal kit and the dreaded RC valve.

If have to go BKK thats ok, but anywhere closer to Muk would be good

A official Honda dealer should be able to order those parts.( if you have all the correct partnumbers)

Try Tyga-Performance Thailand http://tyga-performance.com/th/index.php?cPath=72_1036_77_97&osCsid=e28a6c989557dfc476d5a94f9bfc146c

They have plenty of OE parts.

On the Thai 2 strokeclub there are plenty of links to shops which sell parts for these bikes, only a difficult website to navigate since it's Thai only http://www.2strokeclub.com/smf/

Good luck with the rebuild.

Thanks for the info boys the plan is to build a track bike as there is no green book with it, the Tyga site is great and there is a few high performance parts that I can certainly use on this project, so far I have strip the bike down to a bare frame and have opened up the motor which looks surprisingly good even the oil drained out of the gear box was still clean. The bike had been sitting in a shed for 5 years and as far as I can tell the only thing wrong with it is the RC valve was not working not that the previous owner would have revved it passed 5000 rpm. The frame is in good shape with only a bit of surface rust, the front forks are a bit sad and need a total rebuild, but the best part is the bike was free, the first thing I have ever got in this country for free.

Does anyone know how to read the vin number so I can find out how old the bike is, it has round head lights if thats any help

Once again thanks for the info.

Don't know how to read the frame numbers, but a "ta kom" ( round eye) should be mid nineties.

Did you check if the servo engine for the RC valves works?

Good you got he bike for free. Some OE parts don't come cheap.

the pics are from a 1995

yes checked servo unit and its completely stuffed and already know there about 6000 baht new but got the bike for free so a new servo unit is not a problem, the aim is to get it looking and running like new like your pics

I'd give Pirelli a call (+66 2 742 1494) and see if on their next shipment they can get some Sport Demons brought in. Seems like there's not much else out there. Below I copied the sizes available. Hope this helps.

Front

100/90-18 M/C TL 56H SPORTD F

Rear

110/90-18 M/C TL61 H SPORTD

110/80-18 M/C TL 58H SPORTD

120/80-18 M/C TL 62H SPORTD

130/70-18 M/C TL 63H SPORTD

cool man. go go!

get the pirelli sport demons though. maybe one size wider on the back might be better if the rim allows.

Perhaps going with the rims from a CBR 150 would be a good idea?

You may have to play with the suspension to get it set up just so, but the pain of trying to find good rubber in 18" size will be alleviated.

still playing around with the front forks with some stainless steel spacers and have stiffened it up already and it feels good under braking into turns

Truly amazing power from a 150 having litre sport bikes mostly and cant wait to get the motor run in to really let it loose

Looking good man.

The LS125 was also a well received little hooligan bike.
