Not having any joy in the local Tesco, BigC or Villa.

Anyone know anywhere ?

Never seen grapefruit here

Yeah me neither , they sell them in Jusco and Giants in malaysia

Grapefruit appear sometimes, fresh salmon fillets and celery certainly nearly always available at the Srinakarin Road Foodland which is my local Foodland 10 kilometer from home.

In fact I see on many occasions fresh salmon in Big C and Lotis Tesco in our area.

Can't guarantee you will find them but I would try a TOPS supermarket or possibly a FOODLAND store.

TOPS tends to be expensive, but the one on Sukhumvit Road gets more Farang customers, and has a wider selection that places like Tesco.

Also try a VILLA market.

No guarantee however.

Big C Fashion Island plenty of fresh salmon, fillets or steaks

No problems, it just made me to a double take when I read your post.

Fresh Salmon can also be found at the Villa in paradise Mall, which is also on Srinakarin Road (but about 6kms North of Foodland).

Villa on Sukhumvit had Salmon fillet and celery , so I'll load up tomorrow before we leave Bangkok. No grapefruits though, I didn't get over to where was suggested

You can all sleep soundly now I hope knowing I got most of what I wanted

I've often brought grapefruit in Gourmet Market in Emporium, I assume other branches have them, around 100 Baht each.

Usually need to shop at the Extra version of these supermarkets. E.g BigC Rama 4 branch or Mega Bangna, plus many others in Bangkok. Outside Bangkok harder to find.

Celery - 'Goon chai' Thai celery is available on every market stall. tastes the same but the stalks are thinner. Western celery is available in Makro, Villa, sometimes and Tops sometimes.

Yeah I got some celery like that from Villa , was a lot fresher than the stuff I used to get from Supermarkets in Malaysia

The missus got Salmon from villa , nice bit of fish but about 2 inches thick , she cooked some for me but it came out with the consistency of a house brick, so Ive banned her for "Surprising me" with dinner

Thanks for the tip about Emporium but I'll give it a swerve until they finish the work, don't fancy dodging falling cranes and masonry with a bag of grapefruits in hand ;0)

Saw grapefruit in Villa in Thonglor today, but at 189 Baht each.

I like the bottles of grapefruit juice, Villa has them at buy one get one free until the end of the month.
