LCD screen with lines in it

Featured Replies

Perhaps some of you knowledgeable guys and gals can help me. I have 2 LCD screens that have developed lines and spaces of varying shades between them. One a smart phone and one a 32" TV, I figure the screens are gone, but before I throw them out, I'd thought I'd ask if an inexpensive repair could fix them. Thanks

The screens themselves may be fine...the problem could easily be a circuit board/component that drives/feeds the screen. Whether cheap or expensive to repair is really unknown until you take it to a shop....I would expect the 32" TV could be economically repaired, but not so sure about a smartphone. And of course whether either is economically repairable depends on how much you originally paid for them. Heck, i'm thinking about getting the Thai mother-in-law a 32" LED TV and you can get them for a low as Bt6K now like some TCL 32" models.

Friend of mine had the same problem which was fixed by a new card for about 2k bht.

Had a 19" monitor the same. Two thousand baht was also the quote to fix so didn't bother.

Take the telly to your local Amorn Service Centre and ask them for a quote to repair.

It may be cheaper than you think, if it's not then tell them to dump the set, or if the lines aren't too bad keep the set as a spare.

I live on the Kalasin, Roi-et, Mukdahan border, where could I find a Amorn Service Centre? Thanks.
