If it is possible to run a HDMI cable from the PC (assuming you have a HDMI connection on the PC) to the TV then that is the simplest solution. I have a 15m cable connecting mine and use Unified Remote on my phone to control the PC via WIFI.

You say you have an Internet tv ?,do you mean your tv has Android on it ?

if so download the ilikeHD app and you can watch many channels in English

for only 350THB p.m., thats about 12 THB per day, not worth the hassle of

trying to find free stuff, which comes and goes.

Hi Thanks for THE info.

I have an sony internet tv, connected with internet, but cant see my pc in THE other room.

I think i do something wrong.i can go on internet so connections is ok.

We need you to tell us what model Sony TV you are using, if you want us to help you.

May be possible to have the Sony TV view and play Media Files stored on your PC that shares the same network.

May also be possible to have the PC display sent to the TV using something similar to Miracast.

It really depends on if model of Sony TV you have natively supports one or both of these functions, or if additional application can be downloaded to it.

Is the Sony TV running Android, or some earlier version of GoogleTV?

If it was purchased in Thailand then these are most likely the specs:

46 inch CX520 Series Full HD BRAVIA LCD TV

Model: KDL-46CX520 product sheet

LCD Colour TV web-version i-Manual Online, or offline Operating Instructions .pdf

Using the i-Manual, I suggest looking at the entries under

"Using Other Equipment/Internet"

VCR/DVD Player
Audio System
USB Device (e.g. Digital Camera)
Picture Frame
HDMI Equipment
Internet/Wireless LAN
Home Network
Media Remote
PC

Your TV can access various 'stored' content (e.g. photo/music/video files) on DLNA-certified media servers. So with a properly set up computer acting as a DLNA server you might be able to view files you've previously downloaded and saved to hard disk.

Doesn't look like the TV supports redirecting video received from a PC over the network, you'll need direct HDMI connection for that.

There's also always the option of adding an external Android / Apple / Linux / Windows / HTPC / etc. Set Top Box that connects to the TV via an HDMI cable. I have a Sony LCD and use an external Android box. The family can use it to either surf the web, YouTube, run one of the many video streaming apps, or view material stored on our PC (can redirect live screen but usually better results if the android box receives and renders the video directly).

I am new to this Smart TV thingy but just picked up this SONY - KDL48W600B - 48" FULL HD LED SMART TV with built in wifi

Now I have figured out how to pair my android via to it to make searching for youtube stuff much simpler than the provided input method that came installed with the tv. Havent had much time to try other things.

Next step would be to do what to get movies etc - do I need some kind of box , sorry I know nothing about this?

I did also read about being able to play PS3 streaming with just a couple of wireless controllers which connect automatically to the tv and no need for the hard drive. I assume one might need a subscription to this service. Anyone else doing this from Thailand.
