My wife wants to see a "ladyboy show" while we are in bangkok. Is there any location where this might be possible?

What I would recommend though if you want real amusement is sit down late (after 1 am) at a roadside bar on

Sukhumvit circa Soi 5 and watch. Seriously, you won't be disappointed.

I know it's not Bangkok but alcazar in Pattaya has to be the best, not that far and all agencys have tours there, but 'The Dancers' idea would be more entertaining, jeep us posted

We haven't enough time to make it to Pattaya (even we would I wouldn't go there). So we will try to get in a show in bangkok, but reviews on tripadvisor doesn't look so good for any of them.

I've been to the Playhouse one at the Asia Hotel with some friends from out-of-town- it was pretty good, some decent numbers and routines, some good jokes, maybe went on a bit too long but it takes place in quite a cool purpose built little theatre in the hotel. So, yeah, I guess I'd recommend that.

If you've got the bottle go into one of their bars (say at the back of Nana Plaza). They won't interfere with you too much if you express an interest in the concept and buy em a couple of drinks. Cheaper than a schmaltzy show and definitely more edgy

I had the bottle once (probably a bit bottle-assisted!) - I distinctly recall being given a price run-down that was a real eye-opener into how the other half lives (make that how the other third loves!). It was also a hilarious experience.
