Son of former deputy minister beats girlfriend at Bangkok police station

Thai males are taught from an early age that they are superior to the deferring females. There are rules for this.

If only they had mothers being PAID to raise them Right.

It is also typical for the females to mistreat and sometimes beat their darker skinned, employees, maids and servants.

And nearly 100% of toddlers. When they're impressionable.

Treating women fairly, in many countries, not just Thailand, is seen as weakness on the part of the male.

I hope this woman recovers from her injuries and finds a more suitable man to be her companion.

Why would she start liking 'weak' men? She respects violence, as you just correctly pointed out albeit for incorrect reasons.

Shame the same charges for attempted murder were not implemented on the copycat’s crew for their youthful recklessness (foolhardy) behaviour whilst trying to assassinate the young German Teacher in Udon Thani - for fun.

and pigs might fly ......more thai garbage, he obviously has serious mental issues like so many inbreeds here

After a night out together, Treethana allegedly got angry and tried breaking Pairinyas fingers while she was driving.wub.png

Normal high spiritedness of the Thai alpha male. A simple misunderstanding that will be corrected with some donations to Thinglor police and Intimidation of the ex-gf and her family.

Unfortunately that is the most likely result of this crime.

She decided to leave 'him'. Great choice. I hope that every woman who's in a similar situation, follows in her footsteps as nobody should stay with a sweet little hoe like this person for example, who thinks he's a man but in reality he's just a girl.

"He often beaten me, but I've never told anyone. I've decided to leave him." D'oh! shock1.gif How many times does physical abuse have to be inflicted before these girl's wake up?

This low life thug is a Thai Hi-So, so the status of a hi-so boyfriend probably overrides all other concerns. Sad but true.

Trouble is, that it is not just the hi-so thugs that do this, it happens in all walks of Thai life and very common too. It is just an accepted part of Thai society that (Thai) men can beat (Thai) women. Also sad, but true.

I know many girls that want nothing to do with Thai men. Does one really have to wonder why?

Firstly, my condolences to Pairinya Labbuangam and wishes for her complete and speedy physical recovery. The psychological recovery from such an act of betrayal by one who was supposed to be a protector, will undoubtedly take much, much longer if ever. My heart also goes out to the family of Kuhn Pairinya, for the emotional trauma that must accompany bearing witness to such injury to a loved one! Reading the list of injuries sustained....never mind seeing the photos of the poor victim, as a father with daughters, I can only offer this piece of advice to the family of that coward, Treethana Prasertsopa :

"Advise, urge, recommend, counsel, beg if you must, for the authorities to proceed with the most serious criminal charges possible (from story, attempt murder would fly in western countries, not sure about here) against your son!! Your son is either currently slithering around beneath the feet of cockroaches, or is suffering from some severe mental issues!! Only serious consequences for his actions here MAY bring about his salvation. If the fact of his being your son in any way is allowed to minimize how he is treated by the judicial system, you will have not only allowed him to feel "above the law" but will very possibly be the indirect cause of someone else later in his life, becoming seriously injured or killed (and it just might be your son)!"

Another lovely Thai man who regularly beats his girlfriend /partner / wife. LOS.... Such tough males these Thais. Never hear of too many Thai war heros. Only thugs who belt woman or other males when they outnumber them 5 to 1

Think your being a tad pessimistic in the 5-1 ratio takes more than that in the Land OF Sneers Smiles!!!

should have done like the other ex ptp ministers son and just shot here then he would have been released, probably then given a job as a gun instructor with the police, ah yes, thai elites and their penchant for trying to kill people that disagree with them.

Agree with you wholeheartedly, Strangebrew..... as a father with daughters, I can't even begin to imagine the anger that exists in her family toward that "cur with the golden spoon". Which is why I made my recommendation for his parents to do whatever it takes to see that he is dealt with appropriately (i.e. charged with most serious offence possible given facts of the assault) and to not attempt or allow for any interference with the appropriate criminal "due process". If he's given a "slap on the wrist" (PLEASE NOTE ANYONE/EVERYONE.....I am not counselling or making any suggestions here!!), some, closer to the victim than you or I, might feel an irrresistable impulse to render a more suitable punishment!!

You also don't care for facts (post #79)?

As I have written the breed in this case is from the ultraroyalist right wing.

Beating up wife/girl friend is "part of the culture" through all levels of society.

Evil tongues (not me) say: they expect it.

What an excellent upbringing this guy had - his father must have been grooming him for life as a Pheu-Thai politician where this is what you do if you don't get your own way.

Still second rate compared to Chalerm's son though. He really is a chip off the old block.

Awwww that's cute EnglishJohn but where were your comments when not the son but an actual Democrat MP killed a rival by shooting him at a petrol station?

Just wondering if they cuffed him, hands behind back? And then maybe administered a swift kick to the face? You see, because this is a situation where it truly would be appropriate. Ie. the only justice ever likely to be meted out.

No, because the kicker and his commanding officer would be forced to crawl on their knees in front of the politician to apologise.

We shouldn't upset ourselves too much about this exhibition of youthful high spirits. Boys will be boys.

Thainess....from the lowest levels of society to the highest, a belief in self entitlement to violence, abuse, corruption and dishonesty, an inability to control rage and anger, a system that allows individuals to act with impunity, a society that fails to punish or even control violent and abusive behavior and thus condones and encourages it.

I was talking to a Vietnamese lady friend last night about her ex-bf of 7 years. She didn't have much good to say about him (which is usually the case with girls and their exes). When I asked her if he had ever hit her, she said "no, because I never did anything to deserve it." I was more than a little shocked by the reply and the assumption implicit in it. Hence is the socialisation and culture in some parts of the world ... the same thinking may be at play here (i.e., 'he hits me only when I deserve it'), and it may take a while before the woman no longer tolerates the abuse. Then you have cases like my Thai gf where the ex threatened her (and her family) with a gun if she were ever to leave him, and he was just crazy enough to follow through (he's in jail right now in fact).

Posters attempting to bring politics, particularly Thaksin's name, into this thread, just don't get it.

This is a cultural thing, not political.

Thai males are taught from an early age that they are superior to the deferring females. There are rules for this.

Examples of this type of violence towards women can be seen nightly on Thai TV soaps and dramas where weeping and screaming white skinned females beg for mercy from their husbands and boyfriends.

It is also typical for the females to mistreat and sometimes beat their darker skinned, employees, maids and servants.

Treating women fairly, in many countries, not just Thailand, is seen as weakness on the part of the male.

I hope this woman recovers from her injuries and finds a more suitable man to be her companion.

Preferably one who knows how to swing a baseball bat at about knee height.

Jesus I don't know, Doc. Crazy ex-boyfriend lurking in the wings? Here's hoping they put him on ice for a good long time.

So he's extremely stupid, as well as being a violent thug.

A bit of forward thinking on the guys part; no finger pointing pictures this time boys.
