Lost Departure Card - Help!

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I arrived at BKK airport on the 16th of this month and am wanting to cross the Koh Kong land border to Cambodia tomorrow but have misplaced my departure card! I didn't realise that it was so important, as I was arriving rather than departing from Thailand. And no it was not stapled into my passport.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Will I need to go back to BKK to get another one? I am all ready to go in Trat - the border town in Thailand, I am travelling alone and don't want to be disappointed :(

thanks

No need to run back to BKK. You can get another one at the immigration at your departure point

Happened to me twice just make out another at the border and they will check your entry on their computer your passport will also show your entry stamp, should have no trouble.

Yep.. when you are ready to depart the cards will be available so you only need to fill out the departure form and hand it in to immigration with your passport.

Regards,

Kurt

whoops, just ask at immgration before you get in departure queue

Lost mine once on a tourist trip here. They just filled another one in for me at the check in desk. Don't worry over it.

People have been losing the departure cards pretty often now, when the immigration on Suvarnabhumi stopped stapling them into your passport. Last month I did not get it stapled, even when I asked for it.

i lost mine last year if you continue on your trip, at thai immigration they will send you to another

window and they charge 100bht for loosing it, and give you a knew one.

Incoming airplane announced the departure card was no longer necessary, in 2005. Did not get one onboard.

Next encounter with immigration said I must have the card.

Downtown old office took all day due to missing lady on that desk. Was a snap once she came back and did her job.

A definite nuance anyway.
