In and out at ranong border?

Featured Replies

Dear forum,

We are just finishing a triple entry tourist visa, however we need an extra 3 weeks before heading home... Would I face any hassle at the ranong border for hopping in and out, just to get a 30 day waiver? I am on a UK passport. And also have bought flight tickets out of thailand already.

Thanks all!

Have you done the 30 day extension of your 60 day entry?

There has been mixed reports for Ranong about getting a visa exempt entry. There have been reports of them not allowing people to depart there unless they had a visa. But a recent report was that they were allowing them now.

The visa runs companies in Phuket have been doing their runs to the Malaysian border.

Thanks Ubonjoe,

Yes, we are getting our last extension in a couple weeks. Hmm, just deciding now wether to risk and head north to ranong, or risk the southern border! Ha! I think it's going to be flip a coin business as its equal distance...thanks for the update on ranong though
